Tickets are on sale for Amy Sherald: American Sublime at the Whitney Museum Sherald was the first Black woman to receive a presidential portrait commission. Sherald's iconic painting of First Lady Michelle Obama tells the story of how Michelle Obama chose to embrace her role and Black American culture. The exhibition includes more than 40 works by Sherald, who was recently acknowledged by Former First Lady Michelle Obama in a Black History Month Instagram post.

The Atlanta History Center is taking a look at the style of the women in The Civil Rights Movement with Hats of King Family Women. Featuring hats owned by Coretta Scott King, runs all year long with new hats going on display in July 2025.

Glide from the pulpit to the club to view They Were No.1: The Ichiban Records Story  also at the The Atlanta History Center. Founded  in 1985 by visionary John Abbey, Ichiban Records was a powerhouse until it folded in 1999. The digital exhibition highlights rap legends MC Shy D and Kilo who spit the first bars to make Atlanta hip hop what it is today. W

While in Buckhead swing over to Bloomingdale's Lenox Mall Art Gallery for  The Ruckage Denim Collection. The fashion exhibit runs through March 31, 2025 and is a collaboration  between Bloomingdale's and Atlanta Fashion Week includes Tuskegee Airmen inspired pieces by Ruckage Denim - an apparel company known for using rare denim to create high quality pieces. 

Auction! Auction! Kerry Taylor Auctions is auctioning a treasure trove of archival items from the collection esteemed fashion writer Colin McDowell. The Colin McDowell Fashion Library Part I lot includes vintage issues of Vogue, fashion show invitations, look books, and promotional material. The auction ends February 25, 2025.  

The Saatchi Gallery in London opened a new flower exhibition and its a hit among art and flower lovers. Flowers - Flora in Contemporary  Art & Culture examines the role flowers have  played  in art and culture and runs through May 5 2025. If London's too far then shoot over to The New York Botanical Gardens for The Orchid Show: Mexican Modernism at The New York Botanical GardensRunning through April 27, 2025 the show's draw is the colorful orchids that bring organic elements to the modernist designs  by Mexican architect Luis Barragán.

Don't walk, run to The Smithsonian Museum for African -American Culture & Art to  take advantage of the programming and exhibitions. Learn about how African- Americans influence everything from Music to Sports. The latest exhibit "In The Wake of Slavery" explores the story past and present guiding viewers through a timeline that finds us in the present still grappling with the traumas of the past. "In The Wake of Slavery" runs through June 8, 2025.
