About Us

Pworthy Archives is a continuum of pworthy.com, a website dedicated to Blacks in the high arts. What began as a project to showcase the booming art scene in Atlanta, evolved into a national publication based in Atlanta. Founded with a vision that high art and hip hop aren't mutually exclusive, Pworthy Archives expands on the vision by bringing visual artists, classical musicians, and rappers together for a cocktail party demonstrating how each piece is a part of a greater work.

Pworthy Archives aims to resurrect a spirit of inclusivity, art, creativity and joy that seem to be on the verge of extinction. By building a bridge between the zeitgeist on the streets and the high brow art world, art lovers can learn about the people, places, and events that fueled the New Atlanta Renaissance. The blog is a repository for art, culture and design content that inspired a particular movement and brought Black artists to the forefront of a city where the Black imagination is on full display. Pworthy Archives is a "For The Everyone" blog where art and culture are viewed through an unapologetically Black lens, giving it a distinct voice and universal message.
