Addiction Boutique hosts designer Brian Reyes

This season designer Brian Reyes has added splashes of color to usually muted looks and he is showing off his latest collection during a two day trunk show at Addiction boutique in Buckhead. His latest collection is inspired by his Colombian homeland and features frocks, fitted symmetrical stitching in shades of grey and ivory. His looks also include layered frocks with tribal patterns and sheer sweaters in earth tones.

Though a New York based designer, his pieces fit in well with the other collections housed at Addiction, an upscale women's boutique in Buckhead. Owner Nikki Salks, makes it a point to bring one of a kind clothing to Atlanta and many of the collections are New York designers.

"If my store could be one word it would unique. I just try to get really well designed clothes," Salks said. "I try to get a lot of designers can't find here."

Shoppers can find designers such as Phi, Sang A, and more in the comfortably modern shop. Salk went to school for interior design at the Illinois Institute of Art and opened the store a little over a year ago. She attributes the success of the boutique to her fashionable instincts.

"I know what I am doing and what I want,"  she said.

The boutique has been featured in the Atlantan numerous times and on given day television producers and Atlanta socialites can be found shopping and enjoying the atmosphere of the comfortable setting.

"My clientele is the woman 30 and over who is looking for something different and unique," Salks said.

The boutique is definitely unique and reminds any fashionista of old haunts in SOHO. Decorated more like a vintage shop the racks and shelves feature white gathered pants, skinny jeans in washed out shades of blue, light blue and black, green sheer frocks, one of a kind jewelry, well crafted over sized bags and more. The style is reflection of  Salk's  originality and design concepts.

"Well I majored in interior design but the aesthetics definitely transfer over to fashion, " she said.

They instincts transferred smoothly and now the Chicago native is successfully bringing her sense of fashion along with the some of the most sought after designers, like Reyes, to Atlanta.
