Recently The Earthwatch Institute named bees the most important species on Earth just ahead of the announcement that honey bee venom can stop and even kill breast cancer cells within 30 minutes of contact. Louis Vuitton launched another exhibit focusing on visionary journeys through Japan. Now through September 17 Visionary Journeys Osaka is on view at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art. the exhibition is divided into twelve chapters and explores the evolution of Louis Vuitton's Art of Travel and it's relationship with Japanese culture. The exhibition includes 1,000 pieces ranging from archival sketches and artworks to leather goods and installations with more than 200 Japan-specific artefacts. The Zucot Gallery, the largest art gallery dedicated to Black American art in the Southeast, is hosting Dear Black People...A Love Letter on July 25th from 6pm-10pm. The exhibition offers a safe space for reflection, and affirmation at a time when the Black community is facing numerous injustices. The event if free and open to the public, but the gallery is requesting attendees to RSVP here.
Seed ATL is hosting a a Plantini event on July 27th from 9am-6pm. The organization aims to promote sustainability and healthy food practices by providing seeds to individuals interested in growing their own produce.
