The Martha’s Vineyard Black Book Festival kicks off on Friday, August 15th with Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson discussing her memoir “Lovely One.” The festival continues with book signings by Tamika Mallory, Tameka Mitchell, Stephanie Brown and a Black Food & Wine panel. June Ambrose is cleaning her closet and blessing the fashion crowd with a one day sale on Saturday,  August 16th. Featuring some of her most iconic pieces and vintage finds, the sale includes everything from the H&M collab puffer coat to the hats and suits that broke the internet. Ambrose is teaming up with Summer Hope Beauty and Sweet Treats for some outside fun. The epic sale takes place at Selima Optique at 7 Bond Street in Soho from 10am-7pm. If you’re uptown don’t forget your tennis racquet because on Saturday August 16th on West 120th St Harlem is turning into an open air tennis club for the day. Hosted by All Over Racquet Club the event features a Dj, food vendors, pop-up courts for all skill levels, coaching clinics, a yoga zone and brand activations. On Saturday, August 16th,  head to Virginia Beach for the Grand Opening of Pharrell Williams' Atlantic Park Surf and Beach Lagoon. Virginia Beach attracts surfers from all over the world, but lacked consistent waves until now. The Wavegarden Cove comes fully equipped with a color coded icon system for different levels that range from beginner to professional and surfers can book a 55-minute session that matches their ability. There’s no more a perfect time for the exhibition Doves of Peace on display at Southwark Cathedral in London. Written on each dove is a message of love, hope and peace. Taraji P. Henson is serving up wine and more on the left coast with her Seven Daughters Wine meet & greet. The event is happening on Wednesday August 20th from 4pm - 6pm at Vons in Inglewood, Ca.
