The City of Miami is hosting a public art reveal at the new Miami -Dade Courthouse. The city has been working for years to incorporate art by the people who make Miami a cultural diverse into the city’s landscape. Described as “a constellation of monumental site specific works,” the installations are integrated into the architecture and storyline that makes Miami a cultural capital of the U.S. The installations include works by Loriel Beltrán, Edouard Duval-Carrie, Loni Johnson, Karen Rifas, Morel Doucet, Beverly Acha, Tomm El-Saieh, Philip Smith, Jennifer Basile, Onajide Shabaka, Laura Tanner, and many others The unveiling takes place on December 6th from 9am to 11am at 20 NW 1st Avenue. Hive Wynwood is offering a week a free events featuring live art, music and a skate zone at the free art week village through December 7th from 4pm-3am. Taking over Wynwood Marketplace, with a curated vendor village of more than 20 local makers, art, and a skateboard area, the event is a place to rejuvenate during Miami Art Week. The event is free and takes place at Wynwood Marketplace, 2250 NW 2nd Ave in Miami.
