Happenings Miami Art Basel edition

                                                                   

There’s so much to do this week from Art Basel Miami and all the satellite fairs to the World Cup Draw taking place on Friday, December 5^th.  The World Cup 2026 is headed to North America and the drama surrounding the event has been offsides (see what I did there). From President Donald Trump receiving the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize to ICE showing up at matches, politics are overshadowing the beautiful game.

Now the World Cup Draw is sure to add even more drama with events taking place across the U.S. In Atlanta Soccer Down here partnered with Michelob Ultra and  The Brewhouse Café to host a FIFA World Cup Draw part at 12pm. For more information go to @thebrewhouse. Visa teamed up with U.S Soccer to host a FIFA World Cup draw event on December 5^th in Times Square at 47^th and Broadway from 10-4pm. ABCF Sports and Block2Block sports are hosting Basel Royale at the Underline’s Brickell Backyeard. The soccer tournament is December 5^th from 5pm-10:30pm with all proceeds going to Jamaica relief. Fri&nds present field& Phantoms an immersive experience with artist Hebru Brantley premiering in the Miami Design District on Friday December 5^th from 6pm-10pm. The event includes special guest Starino and special guest performances. To RSVP click here.

The City of Miami is hosting a public art reveal at the new Miami -Dade Courthouse. The city has been working for years to incorporate art by the people who make Miami a cultural diverse into the city’s landscape. Described as “a constellation of monumental site specific works,” the installations are integrated into the architecture and storyline that makes Miami a cultural capital of the U.S.  The installations include works by Loriel Beltrán, Edouard Duval-Carrie, Loni Johnson, Karen Rifas, Morel Doucet, Beverly Acha, Tomm El-Saieh, Philip Smith, Jennifer Basile, Onajide Shabaka, Laura Tanner, and many others The unveiling takes place on December 6^th from 9am to 11am at 20 NW 1^st Avenue. Cirque de Clio is opening the doors to their Miami design District Pop-up with cocktails and a brand experience so fand can see designs close up. The circus themed pop up  put on by designer Clio Peppiatt happening until December 8^th at 51 NE 41st Street, 129, Paradise Plaza, Miami Design District.

For more fashion stop by the LVMH Immersive Art Studio Pop -Up at the Miami Design District. The five-day pop-up goes until December 7^th and features artist showcases, creative workshops, and panel talks with innovators and LVMH leaders. The cultural programming highlights artists from diverse backgrounds and with conversations at the intersection of design, luxury and innovation. Hive Wynwood is offering a week a free events featuring live art, music and a skate zone at the free art week village through December 7^th from 4pm-3am.  Taking over Wynwood Marketplace, with a curated vendor village of more than 20 local makers, art, and a skateboard area, the event is a place to rejuvenate during Miami Art Week. The event is free and takes place at Wynwood Marketplace, 2250 NW 2nd Ave in Miami.
