Join Arena Stage and Canady Foundation Arts in celebrating DMV natives on the road from Chocolate City to Broadway on Monday, March 30 at 6pm. The first in the Broadway Studio Insider’s Circle series, the panel discussion will be moderated by Marjuan Canady, Producer of  “The Wiz,” “Hell’s Kitchen” and “Purple Rain.”  Canady will be joined by Choreographer Dewitt Fleming Jr, Alia Jones Harvery, producer of “Bueno Vista Social Club” and “MJ the Musical,” Casting Director Erica Hart, and Myles Frost, “Mj The Musical.”  The event is free, but tickets are limited. USC Thornton School of Music is giving Solange fans a rare behind the scenes look at “Eldorado Ballroom” the multi city series that transcends genres.  On Tuesday, March 31 at 5:30pm key collaborators from the Saint Heron team and special guests come together to unpack the research, curation, and production behind this ambitious project spanning Houston, Los Angeles, and New York. Solange and her Saint heron team will join USC School of Music as a Scholar in residence for the next three years. She will teach classes in music curation as the Thornton School’s newest member of Dean’s Creative Vanguard Program. Willy Chavarria the fashion designer known for incorporating Mexican culture into his work and confronting social injustice at his shows, is celebrating his SS26 Collection with champagne and caviar at Hirshleifers in Manhasset, NY on Thursday, April 2 at 6pm. Utrecht is the Netherlands is hosting a special exhibition featuring rare works by Banksy, the artist who remained anonymous up until a few weeks ago.  Titled “The Art of Banksy” the exhibition opens on Thursday, April 2 and will be held at Beatrixgebouw in Jaarbeurs,. The Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris is giving visitors a a treat this April starting with Late Hours FLV Lab Futurospective on April 3 at 7pm. FLV Lab #10 invites you to discover the installation Futurospective – 10 years of experimentation to imagine the museum of tomorrow together. Explore the five thematic areas of the “Futurospective” journey, experiment, and take part in voting on future cultural initiatives. Accompanied by the designer-students from the DSAA in Boulogne-Billancourt, who conceived the experience, test, exchange ideas, and become the architect of your own future cultural experiences. As you go, wander through Frank Gehry’s building and collect clues to solve “The Mystery of the Lost Bolt”. Then guests can try out a VR experience and end the night with meditation. On Saturday, April 4 or 404 Day, Big Boi will be celebrating 404 Day at the Second annual 404 Day parade. The parade kicks off at 10 am to get more information go to 404weekend.com. Then at 1pm Impossible Foods is hosting 404: Taste the Block - a huge block party at Smorgasburg Atlanta with a free live performance by Big Boi.  LAist is hosting A Night of Ideas on Saturday, April 4. In collaboration with Villa.Albertine, the French Institute for Culture and Education, and France in LA, the Consulate General of France, the event takes place at the Wende Museum and start at 2pm. Ther will be performing art, music, conferences, workshops, and VR experience. The event is free and open to the public. The V&A Museum has done it again with “Schiaparelli: Fashion Becomes Art” and exhibition featuring more than 200 pieces including garments, accessories, jewelry, paintings, photographs, sculpture, furniture, perfumes and archival material. The exhibit traces the house from it’s early days to become one of the most innovative haute couture houses of the 20th century to present day under the creative direction of Daniel Roseberry.
