On March 19th the 34th annual DC Environmental Film Festival begins under the theme of “Against the Current.” Featuring more than 60 programs and more than 70 films, the festival will highlight activists, scientists, and advocates who are fighting for climate justice, to stop the effects of climate change, and advocating for policies to protect our planet. On Tuesday, March 17th join the National Portrait
Gallery in Washington DC for Analog Night. Put your cell phone on Do Not Disturb,
bring your favorite analog and enjoy a peaceful night knitting, sketching, painting

In Virginia Humor Magazine is bringing wit to Williamsburg with
comedy writers from late night. The event is part of the Ampersand
International Arts Festival and will include writers from The Onion, Saturday Night Live, The Late Show, The New
Yorker and more. The night will be filled with short comedy bits, cartoons, audience interactions, and more. For more

Just a short train ride north in Philadelphia the Ministry
of Awe has set up shop inside a historic 19th century bank designed by
Frank Furness. The immersive exhibit includes a typewriter typing by itself. A giant eyeball staring at you with
a camera in its pupil. A chaise lounge attached to a wall. A gigantic nose that
tells you what you smell like. An interactive celestial mural projection on a

On March 19th
at 6pm in The American Craft Council and the Hambidge Center will host ATL:
Ascent - a collaborative opening reception celebrating Atlanta’s creative
community while launching two major initiatives: the 2026 Hambidge Hive Auction
and ACC’s announcement of the 2027 ACC Atlanta Fair. The event will feature a
micro-market of regional craft artists, artist installations, and remarks from
organizational and city leaders. Hambidge transforms Uptown Atlanta’s
15th floor into a 30,000-square-foot immersive art space for a month-long
exploration of hand, material, and mind featuring large-scale installations, an
art auction, a ceramic cup gallery, artist talks and more. The event is

The Virginia Arts Festival has partnered with Dance Theatre in Harlem for a restaging of Firebird on Friday, March 20, at 7:30pm at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk, Va. Originally a Russian folk tale it was adapted by Arthur Mitchell in 1982 and set in The Caribbean. The signature classic ballet follows the story of the mythical creature fighting to overcome evil has been described as a tale of resilience. The ballet hasn’t been performed in nearly 25 years and features the original set design and the iconic costumes that brought the story to life.
