In a tribute to Mexico - the only country in history to host three World Cups, marking a milestone in international soccer, adidas unveiled the new third kit of the Mexican National Team. The Mexican Wa(y)ve concept incorporates a tonal and elegant 'MX' pattern throughout the jersey. The uniform, with a "V" collar and carefully crafted details, integrates the message "Somos México" -We are Mexico-, as a call for unity.

The kit is also used on the Home and Away jersey of the Mexican National Team. In this way, this jersey is positioned as a symbol of national identity.
This installment puts the concept of playing with pride in the spotlight, a philosophy that reflects the way Mexico experiences soccer: with passion, creativity and a deep sense of belonging on the field, but, above all, off the field.
"This new jersey represents much more than innovation in design; It is a manifestation of the Mexican spirit in each thread. We wanted to pay tribute to a nation that will welcome the world for the third time," says Pablo Cavallaro, Senior Director, Brand Activation at adidas Mexico.
This new kit will not only be the protagonist on the field, but also in the stands, where fans will be able to proudly wear a garment that honors the culture, memory and emotion of Mexican fans.
"To wear this uniform is to carry with you the testimony, passion and spirit of an entire country. It's a reminder that every time we take the field, we represent much more than football: we represent Mexico," says Ivar Sisniega, Executive President of the Mexican Football Federation.

In addition, adidas is introducing a complementary collection in collaboration with Someone Somewhere from adidas Originals. This proposal includes six apparel pieces with details intervened by artisan women from the community of Naupan, in the Sierra Norte de Puebla, as well as a special version of the sweater —Artisan JSY— that reinterprets the design of the third kit with a lifestyle approach, incorporating a polo collar and embroidered details. The collection seeks to take Mexican pride beyond the field, connecting sports with culture and artisanal work.

"What started as an idea that connected with thousands of people continues to evolve. This year, together with adidas, the vision goes further: we expand the scope of the work of artisan hands so that more people can wear pieces that represent the talent, identity and pride of our communities at such a relevant time for Mexico," says Antonio Nuño, CEO and co-founder of Someone Somewhere. "This collaboration sets out a precedent for the global fashion industry, demonstrating that it is possible to integrate artisanal value chains into the production systems of global brands."

The third jersey will be released on May 22 in the match against the Ghana national team. This Mexican National Team kit will be available in select adidas.mx and stores starting May 11.
